Calendar – For quick reference I have a one sheet per day calendar block on my desk. Office Equipment. I’m a big advocate of assistants having their own office equipment such as a photocopier, printer and shredder. The phone should be on the desk as near to your keyboard and computer screen as possible.

Get knowledgeable on how to work the various office equipment. If you do have to leave, dont forget to ask for a reference letter. My former boss gave me an excellent reference on paper and by phone. I felt if we were prepared and equipped to do our jobs, it could seem like we were laughing all the way to work.but I also like to have fun at work too. With references like these how can I lose?
