I also can use the recording to make a cd and give to potential clients or current clients instead of a business card or brochure.

I see one of two things, a blogger, who is paid to write content that promotes the services or products of another individual or business (ie. My blog is my proof of purchase. As of now, my website is more like a business card – something I can point prospective clients towards after I’ve already made initial contact.
