I purchased a small address book in which I can keep the website address along with my user name and/or password for each particular site. Using the address book allows me to keep websites alphabetically rather than searching through pages of a notebook or sticky notes in all states of disarray. August 02, 2010 Patricia Robb said.

A good assistant knows just where to find the document or file needed, or they won’t stop looking till they do. I finally had a chance to sit down and read your book over the holiday.

At one office I worked in we had a mail cart with slots for everyones mail, but it was filed First name, Last name. the phone book, standard filing practices etc.) This goes for filing and also how your contacts are ordered in Outlook. This is useful if you want to file the email and change the Subject line to something that better describes what the email is about or to put notes in the email. You can also attach a file from Word, Excel or PowerPoint or a business card from your Contacts if it is someone you need to remember to call and want that information available.

Remind them verbally as well when you meet with them. Keep an organized filing system and file list. If your boss tends to misplace things when they get it, make an extra copy for your file before giving it to them. I finally had a chance to sit down and read your book over the holiday.
