I thought she had the potential to be a great assistant except for her low self esteem and she would put herself down when she made a mistake. I finally had a chance to sit down and read your book over the holiday.

Each time I write a book, every time I face that yellow pad, the challenge is so great. I have written eleven books, but each time I think, ‘Uh oh, they’re going to find out now. She has also written a children's book named Sulwe* , which became a number-one New York Times Best-Seller. Maybe you have not written that book.

I sacrifice the joy of a new book. But having the self-esteem, confidence, and finding the balance is hard. James’ post yesterday talked about turning down clients; when I told people I was “fully booked&# MORE kept coming. It’s in these moments I realize, my time is supremely valuable.

This builds your self-esteem, and the person you contact will remember that you made the effort to talk to them. Beating your past mile running time, or amount of books read per month, or days in a row eating healthy food will be impressive to anyone you let know about it as it occurs.
