Here are some tips as your career progresses that will affect how you job hunt. The lower-level admin you are the more jobs there are. Whether you are a department assistant or work for a smaller company, you will be able to find a job more easily. Those jobs support the President, CEO, CTO, CFO, and Chairman. Your job hunt will take a lot longer. The higher up you go on the ladder of admin roles, the longer your job hunt will take.

Seeing that I gained all this wisdom via experience or by reading, I can’t imagine why anyone would pay for what I consider free advice… In the future (like 20 years from now), I may send out a survey to see if there are services you feel aren’t fitting your needs as an executive assistant, admin person, job hunter, college graduate, young professional, business owner, executive, CEO, or anything else you can imagine to see what type of help people crave.

It's getting to the point where I feel as if I'm starting to resent him and get angry for all the little things I have to do for him, even though I know it's my job to do them. So good job on that part too, M.E.! I also knew everything I was feeling was very true for me, but also confusing because if my boss didn’t need me, I wouldn’t have a job, I wouldn’t get a paycheck, and I wouldn’t have all this experience to put on my resume. I learned I need a vacation ASAP.

Do you ever get that ho hum feeling about your job and know it is time to consider moving on? After four years at my previous job I knew it was time to go. She felt in her current job she was not being challenged and used to her potential and was thinking about making a change. Job satisfaction is important. There are still jobs to be had, you just have to find them. Nothing to lose The best time to look for a job is when you dont need one.
