If your manager is still using the term secretary, correct him and let him know how to properly refer to you when introducing you to someone in person or in email.

I know that is easier said than done because low self esteem may be the roadblock. I found this link to the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale which has some questions we can ask ourselves to see where we are on the self esteem scale. Now that’s positive self talk. I think I can, I think I can.&#

I think sending emails to the wrong person is an easy mistake to make because it is so easy and quick to press Send, but not so easy to take it back (and the Recall function really does not work on emails to external people and is only hit and miss on internal emails).
