Between 2015-2019, Iceland ran two large-scale trials of a reduced working week of 35-36 hours with no reduction in pay. The results show that short-term absence reduced by almost 40 percent, with 87 percent of employees reporting improvement in their mental health and a reduction in workplace stress. Global trials.
