I reached into my pocket and grabbed my phone to call my dad. He told me I’d be able to get paid to compete and travel the world. I traveled to Florida for my first Paralympic Nationals. It was nearly dark when I sprinted the 100 meter all-out. I let all my emotions seep out into my sprints. I had purpose.
