As most assistants are advanced users of PowerPoint the temptation to use all of the features can be high. If your organisation does not have standard themes there are lots that you can use online and via PowerPoint. I find the collections of photos quite useful if I am working on a particular newsletter or presentation.

Marketing material is stripped of sales language, and the info becomes a blog post, which becomes a podcast, which becomes the soundtrack to a video made from PowerPoint slides which becomes a YouTube video which becomes content for the website. Some of those become blog posts, newsletter articles, parts of books.

If you have events, use the Events app If you do videos , use the Video app Adding an opt-in form for an e-newsletter or blog subscription (or whatever): Use the Static HTML app Techniques to use images throughout to create that visual punch: Images, images, images. Promotional Elements: 1) Add pictures and galleries. Think banner ads.

Do not promote your blog too soon until you have at least half a dozen good articles loaded into it. No blatant self promotion (share your knowledge but do not promote your products or services). You can also offer them advance articles and other incentives (such as putting them on your "blogroll") for promoting your blog.
