My commute is about 1 hour so almost immediately i’m getting 2 hours extra done during my day at home.

Suppliers will probably thank you for short meetings, so they too can get more done. I run a small business advising companies on improving their projects and programmes through better meetings. Remember this is a rule for internal meetings, for meetings with customers this rule does not apply – within reason of cause.

The truth is that charging by the hour is terribly customer unfriendly and is therefor very bad for your small business and start-up business, like SOHO-, SME, SMB-, Micro-, Lifestyle-, Home-, DIY-, Hobby-, Boomer- or Personal business, like professional, contractors, freelancer, self-employed, sole-trader and virtual assistants.

Other forms of partnership are a Limited Partnership (which is more complex to set up and gives limited input in managerial decisions, but limits liability) and a Joint Venture (similar to a normal partnership but lasts for a limited period of time or for the duration of one project). This makes the business a separate legal entity from you.

When it comes to business projects it is just best to get them done and over with and move to the next item. Before I knew it I was rushing to get it done.

Given the current fascination with 300% grow startups – writing a business plan boils down to cash flow statement and projected earnings. If whatever you are selling is a one-night-comes-wonder (see: Million Dollar Page, see: Craigslist) then business plan is of no use. Nothing else matters so far. You said it true.

These relationships are for finite projects or to fill a cap, due to permanent staff illness on a temporary basis – they are limited by time or project. Remember, the contractor you hire today, may hire you tomorrow on a project he or she is working on – networking is the way to go. Until then, it is a must.

Project and Order Financing: Banks need to be made to provide the needed finance for SME’s in order to fulfill contracts and orders. I consider it fair and just that equal opportunities are given to SME’s when it comes to public sector projects. Any growth financing needed in this respect should also be financed.
