I think that during the process of your performance appraisal it would be a good time to bring it up, but I never have. I have asked for a raise however, but it was after I considered a move somewhere else and wasnt sure I wanted to go, so gave my employer a chance to match the new salary and they did. Excellent material!

And in the time that you have to travel at basically the craziest time, spring break, winter holidays, summer holidays. You’re talking about three or four or five times more crowded spaces. Also, the other issue is time zone. So, it’s not the best experience for the parents either. .

The CEO I was working for at the time was very busy and my meeting scheduling skills were put to the test. He was also an international traveler so I had to learn everything about time zones, flights and everything in between when your boss travels to a foreign country. And travel he did.
