Find a mentor. Ask questions of mentors and peers. Attend training. For health? Ask restaurant servers for low-sodium options—you’d be surprised how eager they are to help. Who knows, that may be the very thing that you need to break out into a brilliant new future. Take stock and charge forward.

They know who has health problems and can't afford to lose insurance coverage. I once interviewed a restaurant manager who needed to make sure employees were cleaning the place thoroughly, but knew that constant nagging would not help. Not a good thing when a health inspector was on the way. Use training theater.

Maybe the trip turned out to be a fiasco because the budget exploded and now you have to do the dishes in a restaurant to pay for your plane ticket home (or, most likely, you ignored some very common sense rule and it turned out that rule was for real). I am considering hiring a guru or mentor from the Mentor club.
