Think of it this way: You can only do so much and getting a helping hand will get those extra tasks completed when the need to be completed – on time and right the first time. I work for a magazine and we hire freelancers for all sorts of reasons. You only have to hire a freelancer for the jobs that need urgent attention.

I can tell you my friends and colleagues got a lot of phone calls in those early days and it was a wonderful resource and help to me. Read professional magazines when you get the opportunity.
