February was also a month where I started taking finances more seriously than I had in ages. Plans have changed since then, but it was good for me to connect with Elizabeth (my Operations Assistant) to forge some form of plan forward. I cancelled The BIG Ready in February 2022 after running it for two years in two very different ways.

Checklists ensure that all steps or actions occur, not necessarily in a specific order (though that can be part of the process), but rather just that they are completed, while a template is an established pattern - form letters, resume designs - that you can use over and over to produce the same result.

People say they love teaching yoga so they want to open their own yoga studio, but when you do that it really means you’ve become an entrepreneur/business owner and you now have to manage all the marketing, operations, finances, HR, and legal aspects of your business either alone or be in charge of those who do instead of teaching yoga.
