You bashed monsters by hitting keys on your keyboard whilst wondering if you could hook up a nodding bird à la Homer Simpson. Griffin – Drool and keyboards don’t mix. I make sure to make writing fun by making my desk look happy and organized, using my favorite pen, or thinking about happy thoughts. That’s cool.

I am not a freelancer as such but I do work from home and I’ve training my boss and colleagues to stop arranging meetings after 4pm (still working on that one), I’ve been forcing myself to step away from the keyboard and to stop checking work emails after hours. You have plenty of time left for that client. Family … friends.

Do I write routinely about Policy and Management or about Labor Relations? Doing all of that at once also helped me develop strong organizing and executing skills! It was getting that understanding of how to communicate an idea, whether it was a thought, a visual, whatever, was what got me excited.
