You have to learn a whole new way of doing things, from how to log onto the computer to filling out a purchase order form. He cautioned that I was running a marathon, not a sprint and I should give myself time to learn and not be too hard on myself if I didn't know everything right away. That has been good advice.

Files are scattered. Learn to divvy up the space. Learn to "parent" yourself and put limits on when and how you will work at home. Rather than everything being tossed in the office awaiting further action, have containers or cubbies near the door for books, bags, shoes, coats, sport equipment, etc. Have a “dump” zone.
