I waited in the bar for my keys and was able to grab a drink, log on to the WiFi and check my emails all in a comfortable and cozy part of the hotel. Once I had my keys I was whisked up to the room and found a fantastic selection of Scottish products waiting for me to sample! Advertised minimum rate per night is £84 (January 2015).

As the Personal Assistant to a quite renowned chef, my tasks might vary from the ones of a regular PA, like calendar and email management, to most specific tasks such as taking care of the journalists that come visit the restaurants and to interview Albert. I literally live 2 minutes away from the restaurants, so I just walk there.

After a few hours lounging around I thought it was time to get up and check my emails – the wifi is perfect. The Mansion does have a restaurant on site called Circa 1886. Prior to leaving for my dinner reservation I did sample a glass of red wine and a few of the hors d’oeuvres.

Tara and I learned a LOT from this interview about considerations we should all realize when we are using the space, electricity, and wifi at cafes, coffeehouses, and restaurants for business purposes. Just as with grapes and wine, you must sample coffee beans for their quality so that you know how to best roast, blend, and brew them.

I work at a travel and event planning agency. We are a great resource for Executive Assistants (we have several that we work with currently) booking high level travel globally but I am having trouble reaching out to the right people. Most large companies have in house travel department or a pre-approved vendor and agency list.
