You’ll have to apologize for mistakes you made or for something you forgot and that fell through the cracks or for being snappy in that last email. But having the self-esteem, confidence, and finding the balance is hard. Freelancing is NOT the gravy train, if you think it is, then you’ve got problems.

Now, of course, self-help books are not always a total waste of time. They can be inspiring, they can be uplifting, or they can help you reach your goals, from learning how to juggle to shaking off low self-esteem to improving your business. But a good self-help book knows its own limits. But where is the line?

Especially when you’re inexperienced, self-esteem issues come into play – having people you respect say that you’re doing something right. If the objective is training in a specific subject, some of these would work better than others. Is the goal training? Walking your own path takes a lot of guts.

Like, say, emailing us to ask if this is the right email to email us at, when the email you should use to apply is written on the job ad. When the job ad says email us with information and samples, don’t tweet us and say, “Just click here.&# DON’T have low self-esteem. Bangamon.&#

When their readers don’t actually know what they do, because they never visit the site, they simply open Google Reader or their email for the RSS feed. Limited time offer discounts, periodical sales, and fliers four times a year. I wouldn’t be spending money on a new design or paying to develop an email list.
