Google for the UTA list and sign up for all email lists and job boards for the entertainment industry, network with people you know, send your resume and cover letter snail mail to every company you want to work at to the attn of the recruiting department, and establish an online presence so headhunters find you via LinkedIn and job sites.

Once you find out their email or fax number, they will ask you to submit your cover letter and resume. If you have written letters of recommendation give the temp agency copies.

If your boss is very high profile and him being fired was a secret/covered up, such as he “took an early retirement” etc, perhaps just say your boss exited the company because he took an early retirement, wanted to spend more time with his family, or x. Look for a job CONFIDENTIALLY. Explain it in the same manner. Should you stay?
