If I didn’t love my job then ANY time doing it would be costing me more than it’s worth. But having the self-esteem, confidence, and finding the balance is hard. I raised my graphic design rates several years ago and it made a huge difference in the clients I attracted, my income and my business self-esteem.

Especially when you’re inexperienced, self-esteem issues come into play – having people you respect say that you’re doing something right. Zero marginal cost products will approach zero in price over time. Ebooks aren’t a zero marginal cost product. Walking your own path takes a lot of guts.

I’d rather work with people who self-identify as businesspeople rather than bloggers. Businesspeople understand investment, as opposed to cost. Prices always tend towards marginal costs. Limited time offer discounts, periodical sales, and fliers four times a year. Most bloggers are cheap-asses. They have a budget.
