People who spend excessive amounts of time alone tend to suffer from anxiety, stress, and even memory loss. Just like plants need wind to grow, writers need some reassurance that they are not just going at it alone each time they sit at the keyboard. Many writers—as half of our population-at-large and 60% of gifted kids—are introverts.
