Since my boss travels a lot, I take care of his travel expenses and supplier invoices. I use “dalango.de” for example and brushed up my French skills. I also organise his business travel.

I also loved Flipnosis by Kevin Dutton, and Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely: both fascinating, compelling studies into principles of persuasiveness, which is of course an essential skill in our line of work. She was full of useful tips and very charismatic on stage.

There were many free training sessions for assistants to attend and the exhibitors were all relevant suppliers to the industry which again is not always the case with these types of events! Many companies do not pay for their assistants to receive training and they don’t encourage assistants to keep their skills up to date.
