I wish I could remember which blogger gentleman wrote at length about this concept of your self esteem coming from more than one source. (I Much like one diversifies their financial portfolio to reduce risk, the same should be done for your emotional and mental health. I had read it a few years ago.)

Heres the column I did for Gannett: They have been called unflattering names such as the “Entitlement Generation” or “Generation Me,” but young people seeking jobs these days may have a new name: realistic. Interning is supposed to get you ahead, to help you find a job but now it seems people are just taking advantage. I think so.
