I spent about 90 minutes viewing videos from our 2012 Annual Conference for Administrative Excellence to extract clips for our ‘Event of Distinction’ trailer video for our 2013 conference. I was also casually mentored yesterday while speaking to one of our spiritual leaders.

Find a mentor. I’m working on taking time off for visits, but in the meantime I’ll reconnect the old-fashioned way by writing, sending cards throughout the year; little gifts the family might enjoy, too. Ask questions of mentors and peers. Clean out your closet and donate unwanted clothes to charity. Too short, indeed.

You can make that first step easier by supporting yourself: comfy clothes, your favorite music, an organizing buddy, etc. For bigger changes, enlist a mentor or professional coach to help you stay on track.
