If it is a big project I use a calendar and write down all my required to-dos on the dates I need to get them done to make my deadline. There are different styles of to-do lists and you can use the one that suits your work style and the type of project you are doing, but the main thing is to have one. Excellent material!

When the results were in, I met with the person who administered it and one of the things it showed, other than the fact that I ranked very high in administration, was that I work best on short-term projects where I can see the end in sight. I will have all kinds of energy to work on a project if I know it is ending at one point.

My boss likes me to print his weekly calendar on Monday so he can see at a glance what he has for the week so I clip that to the front of the folder. I then print his daily calendar and slip that in the left pocket of the folder and on the right side I put everything he will need for the day. I do this for each day of the week.
