A Job is Waiting to Happen to You Long gone are the days of scouring the newspaper want ads and pounding the pavement going from office to office submitting your resume. Employers may get to see a side of you other than what you put on your resume or present at the interview.

Although you don’t have to contribute or offer the same amount as everyone else, you should have it in your budget. Sometimes companies don’t validate for parking especially if you are doing testing at a temp agency and are there for a few hours. You’ll need to make copies of your resume or have a nice folder.

Even though I am an EA with over 15 years of experience at the C-level, it seems that all the recruiting agencies I have approached still require an applicant to come in for an appointment to take their basic employment testing, and then only seem to be able to offer lower-level administrative jobs.
