I reached into my pocket and grabbed my phone to call my dad. It was nearly dark when I sprinted the 100 meter all-out. I let all my emotions seep out into my sprints. In 2016, following years of injuries, successes and comebacks, I headed to Rio for the Paralympics. My helmet was gone and my elbows were bloody.
