We were greeted in a small reception area on the ground floor, most of which was taken up by an art exhibition. Upon check-out we were given a gift of Turkish delight which was devoured during the taxi ride to the airport organised by the hotel. Advertised minimum rate per night is €179 (February 2015).

The staff were attentive and polite, your drink was always being topped up. As a breakfast goes it was adequate to set us up for our day of sightseeing. Upon checkout we were asked about our stay and were presented with a small gift each (a leather bookmark) and the concierge arranged a taxi to our onward destination.

The group was a mix of returning attendees and first timers, all excited about the days to come, with participants having traveled from all corners of the US, Canada, and even Israel! Next, the conference mixed things up with a teambuilding exercise that challenged everyone to connect, collaborate and put their creative nature to work.
