I’d lived with migraines for much of my life, but these were incessant and unresponsive to my normal medications. I assumed the stress of transitioning to a new job was wearing me down, that maybe I’d taken on too much and just needed a few days of good rest. I’d go to work, then immediately collapse into bed afterward.
