Put pen to paper (or finger tips to keyboard) and record important dates in a calendar, notebook or on your mobile device. So hang up the phone, find a quiet place and focus.

Many writers hit the keyboard for set periods of time. If a coffeehouse doesn’t suit you, try the library, a train or even a bar. National Book Award winner and New York Times essayist Richard Powers claims he hasn’t touched a keyboard in years, not even to write an email. Get out of your own way, and you too can “gush.”

That’s a key point and a very important question for every blogger who had been wrecked more than one keyboard writing. But the most important part of the question is not “how” but “why”. Why would you want to convert that traffic? What you developed so far was only discipline. A set of rules followed closely.

Get business training too, you will need to know about accounts, management etc. I have been so passionately involved in my work this morning I totally forgot I made myself a nice cup of tea and sat it next to my keyboard. One thing I would add is to make sure you know the nitty-gritty of business. LOL I LOVE this post.

I am not a freelancer as such but I do work from home and I’ve training my boss and colleagues to stop arranging meetings after 4pm (still working on that one), I’ve been forcing myself to step away from the keyboard and to stop checking work emails after hours. You have plenty of time left for that client.
