You dislike the idea of having a coach/mentor because you can (and should) handle things on your own. You don't finish nearly as many projects as you start. Accepting all of yourself, including your flaws, is a critical part of having healthy self-esteem and self-worth. Under-Performing. Treat it as an Experiment!
