Lately I've been poking around online trying to see what else is out there for self-branding and job hunting. I enjoy doing this and it helps when I volunteer or make suggestions to those I'm mentoring or friends who ask me questions. They also notify you of jobs in your area. Pretty cool, eh?

How do I get a recommendation letter from my boss for a new job hunt without raising suspicion or improve my situation without my boss’ help? It’s such a shame that there aren’t more managers who are good mentors that help each individual grow and learn more in their roles. Happy job hunting and keep me posted!

Sign up with the major job hunting sites with your resume and profile, join social network sites geared towards work, and meet with every temp agency in town just to be safe. In another answer, I reference 10,000 hours. However, it's much easier to get your name out their so they can find you versus you finding them.

Because of him, my first CEO EA job led to the next one. That one led to other EA jobs. And as I climbed the admin ladder, when I got recruited for a project manager role, the person who referred me was also someone I had met when I was “just a temp” stuffing those thousands of envelopes.
