I work for a magazine and we hire freelancers for all sorts of reasons. Think of it this way: You can only do so much and getting a helping hand will get those extra tasks completed when the need to be completed – on time and right the first time. You only have to hire a freelancer for the jobs that need urgent attention.

Your company may have a strict policy on what they want you to include in the signature line and what it should look like, but generally you would include your name, title, company name and address, telephone and fax number. Sometimes a better way to communicate would be picking up the phone or meeting someone face to face.
