It worked and through explaining the process to her I added a column at the end of the table in Word by tabbing over, which automatically creates a new row. Sometimes I find a simple procedure can be made more complicated than it really is so responded that a cut and paste from Excel to Word should do the trick. She was amazed.

I think that during the process of your performance appraisal it would be a good time to bring it up, but I never have. Is the appraisal/performance evaluation the time to ask for a raise? The first day of each month, I go through the monthly folder and sort the items into the appropriate numbered file to be processed through the course of the new month.
