Here are some of my favourites: Great Apps: Travel. This app is slightly expensive but worth paying for if your manager travels a lot. The app also gives access to real-time departure information, delays and gate numbers. You can set it for your current location or receive alerts from places you are planning to travel too.

There were charges for audio visual equipment that we never ordered. I usually contact the hotel directly, although I sometimes go through a travel agent to find out intial names of hotels in the city that are close to my event, but after the booking I always take over the discussions. It could save your company some money.

If your employer doesnt know who you are and what you do, it is very likely when it comes to making cuts, your position will seem like something they can do without. Be a team player. You want to be seen as someone who can work with others. Be the go-to person in your office.
