All important information, but I knew I couldnt possibly retain much of what I was looking at in one sitting so I started to cheat and flip through a few tabs because I had to sign a form that I read the manual. I basically know how to answer the phones and take messages. Too much information. I have not had much guidance.

Get knowledgeable on how to work the various office equipment. Have that information so you can be a problem solver, not just standing around wondering what to do along with everyone else. My former boss gave me an excellent reference on paper and by phone. Too much information. Be the go-to person in your office.

I felt if we were prepared and equipped to do our jobs, it could seem like we were laughing all the way to work.but I also like to have fun at work too. In those days it wasn’t a computer where you could see a face on the screen, but the information was printed out on paper and if you wanted a photo, it came in the mail a week later.
