Well I didn’t, I hired a fantastic events co-ordinator to do all of the negotiating with the venue and suppliers on my behalf. Don’t let the supplier rush you into making any decisions. If you request to attend a Training Day and they say that time away from the office is the main issue, then you need to make the conference seem as undisruptive as possible. Like everything in business, it’s about negotiation for both funds and time. Internal & External Training.
