Absorb the information on your company’s website and try and learn new skills where possible such as reading balance sheets. Sorry to say it but if you want to transform from PA to Leader, gossip is a big no. Zip your lip.

Find a mentor. Overall, whether it’s gossip from co-workers, violence in the media, pessimism in your own thoughts or other influences, make conscious efforts to reduce your exposure to the negative. I’ve learned that my daily choices make a big difference in my long-term happiness. Ask questions of mentors and peers.
