I sat at my kitchen table watching my phone blow up while people were emailing and IM’ing me all at the same time wanting to know why they couldn’t get on the call. The goal is to set a date and time and to work around it even as other meetings come up. You are “inconveniencing” them so beggars can’t be choosers.

It’s fun, but it’s not like I sit at my keyboard, occasionally throwing my arms into the air and squealing, “Wheeeeeee! One thing I’ve seen is that it’s imperative to have your own voice, but your own voice may be out of sync with your own goals. As if getting them on the phone is too expensive, like it used to be.

Just once in a while… I find I have those moments as well, and if you’re not right there with the pen or the keyboard, then you’ve lost it. You know, what’s the goal? So I had to persevere, believe in what I could offer, and that this was a goal I didn’t want to give up on. Just grasp that moment, eh?
