Make an appointment - Don’t just hope you find the time to clean up, set a calendar entry and stick to it. Organizer ( paper or electronic) to enter to-dos, addresses or calendar data. Remove everything else - pens, stapler, toys, gadgets, phone, monitor, etc. Boxes or storage containers to use for sorting.

Get a single notebook and use it to record notes, phone numbers, web addresses, ideas, to-dos, etc. Create a list or binder of regularly referenced material, such as phone numbers, and keep it accessible in a desk drawer. Add dated or calendar items to a tickler file system or a diary as soon as they arrive.

I think that was also the day when I started to use my app as an excuse for not going out or as a standard answer at the phone. You have to subclass Calendars, Time Zones and Time Components if you want to do some fine grained date comparisons. Once I’m at the MPD level (minimum product demo) I launch and wait for feedback.
