I also include my personal business card with my name, cell number, email address, and city, state, and USA printed on it since I do travel overseas sometimes.

Sadly, this is the conventional wisdom on networking: talk about yourself with as many people as you can for just long enough to hand out your business card in the hopes that some of these seeds will sprout, even without watering. then promote yourself with free talks, appear on podcasts, or try email marketing.

Like carrying a business card. Branching out is a great gig—I make friends, I expand my thinking, I have a laugh, and it even has positive business results. As a virtual assistant, I tend to market and promote my services to my niche customer. My network outside of gifting grew from Day 1. So yesyesyes.
