Dont play with your phone. While you may know enough to mute your phone during an interview, you also cant even look at it. Dont eat something while waiting for your interview -- it can give you bad breath and you risk getting something stuck between your teeth or crumbs on your clothes. Put it away so youre not even tempted.

They see what’s written on your business card. Sometimes they’ll pick up clues via auditory channels : They speak to you on the phone. They check out the clothes and shoes you’re wearing. They read a report or memo you’ve authored. They receive a copy of your CV and read the covering letter. They ask, “Hi, how are you?”

Luckily, in my office, we dress in casual clothes all of the time and we do have a corporate policy of being able to dress up in a costume for this event.
