Training budgets were ample; opportunity for advancement sparkled like diamonds for the taking. Training budgets dissipated, opportunities dried up, and assistants had larger workloads without staffing backups. Cross-training, Mentoring – Open your heart and be a mentor to others. Others could no longer afford to retire.

The amount of skill, pressure, stress, and problem solving differs at each of those levels. Just being in their presence means being informally mentored by osmosis. A scary moment to share is one time I had 48 hours to pull off a major recruiting event in another country. Someone’s selfless time, attention, and care.
