Well to be honest there is a slight chink in my event armour; I’m not the best at negotiating. Well I didn’t, I hired a fantastic events co-ordinator to do all of the negotiating with the venue and suppliers on my behalf. Don’t let the supplier rush you into making any decisions. I cannot sing her praises enough!

It is quite common now to have help with travel arrangements as most companies do employ an outside supplier to book flights, hotels and car hire. The travel agency should have a 24 hour emergency helpline which means if anything goes wrong your colleague can contact them to find out information and get an idea of when they can get home.

That’s why not a day goes by at our agency where we aren’t scouting and searching for incredible venue space, somewhere in the world. Often there are required suppliers and service providers such as audio/visual vendors, or caterers who you must use when working with a specific venue.
