The company will ask that you charge everything from business travel to catered lunches on your credit card and they will reimburse you. Have money for job hunting and working. Whenever you interview for a job, there’s at least 2-3 interviews if not more. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money.

So be warned - often unfairly, the first job you take out of college becomes your specialty. After I was laid off I of course had to go look for another job. I was called in for an interview at an agency and it was the assistant that did all the vetting of the candidates. In hindsight, there was fault in my thinking.

I found every single one of my jobs through a temping agency or by referral. I learned through informational interviews that I should apply to temp agencies. You may only land your job thru a friend and word of mouth from anyone that will take a chance on you as you transition. 2) How manageable are you?
