If their price is beyond your budget, that’s okay – just tell them, then go look for someone in your price range. When training young people in ad agencies I always coach them to start with the positives, with the things they like and that are on target, then their comments will be better received and will have context.

Set aside the services we offer, strip away the great ebooks, the recommended resources, everything but the content. They have a budget. When their readers don’t actually know what they do, because they never visit the site, they simply open Google Reader or their email for the RSS feed. Three years ago it was with ebooks.
