It is never too late to add a new string to your bow and social media seems to be the way forward for the future Assistant. Hootsuite Podium is also a free training resource for social media.

For many years I have consulted the guide for restaurant and venue ideas, it has always been my first port of call when managers have asked me to book restaurants for them. On the 17th and 18th September 2014 in Old Billingsgate, London , Square Meal Venues and Events Live will once again host over 250 venues and suppliers.

Meeting other assistants who work near by, who share the same suppliers, hotels, restaurants etc. This then took me into the arena of public speaking and gave me the opportunity to be on the PA panel at ACES 2014. I actually don’t have a laptop at home and conduct all my organising, social media and emailing through my iPhone.
