It is a lovely part of Geneva with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. I did manage to escape work for long enough to pick up some groceries from the local supermarket with the intention of using the wonderfully equipped kitchen for some home cooking. Advertised minimum rate per night is 550 CHF (October 2014).

No expense had been spared in the suites. The equipment was top of the range and the space was really well designed. As it was Sunday the restaurant was very busy catering for the New York Sunday brunch crowd. Advertised minimum rate is $595 per room (April 2014). . The bedroom was absolutely beautiful.

The surprises began with dinner at the swankiest restaurant from their hometown in Brussels and progressed to skydiving, matching tattoos and a “bachelor’s” weekend in Ireland. He started with his wife, Dawn, and has been doing it alone since her death in 2014. She woke him up at 5:30 a.m. foster care system for over 20 years.
