I’d like a website, but I’m having a hard time justifying the expense.&# Something doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive, but I believe it has to *look* like it was done to quality standards for that perception of “expensive&# – which many people equate to grounded, established business.

Many freelancers don’t have to send their resumes to people anymore, so those degrees don’t see a lot of action, but they’re there, collecting dust on our walls. However, if they go to develop skills like writing and critical thinking, to learn more about the world and to connect with future leaders, then university is invaluable.

It’s too expensive.&# Reply David Wilcoxson March 11, 2010 at 11:53 am Another reason to have a website is that it can answer a lot of FAQ’s, so that you don’t have to, which saves you time. It does take skillfulness to create a domain that someone hasn’t chosen. The yellow pages are way too expensive.

Speaking of links, if you have an ugly website with horrible copy that doesn’t reflect your skills, please don’t tell us. That said, don’t apply for internet jobs when you just came online, have no skills, no experience, but can definitely learn everything as you go along. Because we won’t. Request, that is.
