I tried Omnifocus , Basecamp , Remember the Milk , Google Tasks , Evernote , and even a good old-fashioned Excel spreadsheet. This is where I mark travel and other significant events throughout the month. I use Google Calendar as a back up for all my important dates, travel, appointments, etc. More clicking. Bookkeeping.
